Karan Johar & Varun Bahl's exclusive spring/summer 2011 at Taj Khazana Hyderabad! with showstopper: Ram Charan Tej

Taj Khazana, the signature boutique store of Taj hotels, launched an exclusive Men’s formal and leisure collection designed by the multi-faceted Bollywood film director and producer, Karan Johar and acclaimed designer Varun Bahl on Friday, Feb 11th at the sprawling Alfresco lawns of Taj Krishna in Hyderabad. Taj Khazana, the in-house luxury lifestyle store present across Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces is known for luxurious hand woven silks, exclusive pashminas and distinguished arts and artefacts. Having enamored fashionistas across metros, Mumbai and Delhi, the 'Karan Johar + Varun Bahl' label made its way to make a fine debut at the royal state of Hyderabad.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms Sarita Hegde Roy, Chief Operating Officer, Taj Khazana said “This evening rejoices Taj Khazana’s first collection for men which is high on comfort and has been created for those who have a flair for fashion, elegance and individual style. Karan's show almost always boasts of the big names in showbiz, hence who better than Tollywood's emerging star Ram Charan Tej (son of actor turned politician Megastar Chiranjeevi) to be the perfect choice as the showstopper at this one. Very low-key on celeb turn-out, keeping Ram company was his cousin, actor Allu Arjun who preferred to stick being in the audience instead of taking to the ramp for the evening.

Super chic ensemble scorched the ramp and the range from heavy Indian wedding trousseau to Western casuals looked stunning.

Though Karan was conspicuous by his absence, the glitz and chutzpah made the evening quite a fashionable one. And just in case you're wondering, Karan flew to NY a few days ago, to get his creative juices flowing for his next film.
