You've moved to a new city. You've said your goodbye's & you're onto starting a new chapter. The tough part is over, or so you think? The moving on is the easy bit. You still have your family & friends helping you out & being supportive to your mood swings as you tackle expenses, decisions, packing, farewells etc. Now come's the difficult bit - the new place - adapting lifestyles, discovering, experiencing, learning - exciting, soul wrenching.. its what you make of it !

Make sure the reason for you changing cities is *actually* WORTH IT!
(Try) Don’t live alone.
Create
an environment similar to home. Tug along your favorite duvet, stack of
DVDs, souvenirs, memorabilia.. even furniture if it isn't too much
hassle or money.
Have a plan. or two. and some others.
Apply the above for budget as well
Make sure you do things that you enjoy. Cleaning dishes? grabbing a coffee at your favorite cafe? Watching a movie? Remember the old adage 'time flies faster when you're having fun'
Hang your favorite twinkle lights
Promise not to succumb to impulse purchases.
Don’t fully unpack for two months.
Smile.
Avoid having free time…
Find a hobby. Learn a language. Join a club. Take up yoga.or dance. It's therapeutic.
Make friends. No not online friends. Go out!
Maintain connectivity. Internet! Technology. Use it to your advantage.
Make yourself your constantly reassuring friend
Write a blog.
Be Calm. Don't SNAP.
Smile.
